Why Substrate Prep Is Critical for Tile
Tile cracks when the substrate flexes. Before we set a single tile, we confirm the subfloor is stiff, level, and properly prepared. Skipping this step is the main reason tile floors fail, and we don't skip it.
Large Format Tile
Larger tiles (24x24 and up) are popular right now but they require a flatter substrate and different installation technique. We work with large format tile regularly and know what it takes to install it without lippage or hollow spots.
